Useful Tips Before Your Delhi to Himachal Tour

  • Pack warm layers: Even in summer, evenings in Manali are cold. In winter, carry thermals, gloves and a heavy jacket.
  • Carry motion sickness tablets: Hill roads have many curves. Eat light before long drives.
  • Rent snow gear locally: Snow boots and suits are easily available on rent near Solang Valley.
  • Keep some cash: ATMs work in towns, but small shops and adventure operators at snow points often prefer cash.
  • Check road status: Snowfall or rain can close roads. Trust your driver's advice on timings and routes.
  • Start early: Leave for Solang and Atal Tunnel by 8 AM to avoid traffic jams in peak season.
  • Respect local culture: Remove shoes at temples and gurudwaras, and cover your head at Manikaran Sahib.
  • Avoid plastic: Himachal has strict rules on plastic. Carry a reusable bottle and bag.
